About Me

Hi! I'm Julie Tuttle Davis. I am a professional writer, editor, speaker, and consultant. I've worked at Ball State University for the Indiana Academy of Science, Mathematics, and Humanities as the Director of External Affairs since 2016 (and with Ball State since 2006.) Other higher education institutions I've worked with include Ivy Tech, Anderson University, and Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology. Since 2019, I have also been serving on the Board of Directors for Midwest Writers Workshop as Board President.

I have a bachelor's degree in English and an MBA. My personal interests include writing and reading (particularly science and science fiction), traveling (pre-covid), watching speculative and paranormal shows, and spending time with my husband, sons, and dogs (not necessarily in that order!)

If you would like to connect professionally, please visit me at You can also follow me on Twitter at @IndianaJulie (formerly known as @julieanntuttle).

I started my blog to chronicle my experiences with NASA Tweetup (which eventually became NASA Socials) for the final launch of the space shuttle on July 8, 2011. I've shared lots of photos, videos, and stories from that experience in my blogs (see months of June and July 2011.) I've also had the honor of being selected to cover several other NASA Social events as a citizen journalist. As time allows, I may keep sharing interesting updates related to NASA and other new adventures too.
