About Me

Hi! I'm Julie Tuttle Davis. I am a professional writer, editor, speaker, and consultant. I've worked at Ball State University for the Indiana Academy of Science, Mathematics, and Humanities as the Director of External Affairs since 2016 (and with Ball State since 2006.) Other higher education institutions I've worked with include Ivy Tech, Anderson University, and Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology. Since 2019, I have also been serving on the Board of Directors for Midwest Writers Workshop as Board President.

I have a bachelor's degree from Ball State University (Major: English / Minor: Theatre) and an MBA from Anderson University. My personal interests include writing and reading (particularly science and science fiction), traveling, and watching educational, speculative, and paranormal shows. I also enjoy spending time with my husband, adult children, and dog (not necessarily in that order!)

I started blogging the "Adventures of Indiana Julie" to chronicle my experiences with NASA Tweetup (later became NASA Socials) for the final launch of the space shuttle on July 8, 2011. I've shared lots of photos, videos, and stories from that experience in my blogs (see specifically the months of June and July 2011.) I've also had the honor of being selected to cover several other NASA Social events as a citizen journalist. Those experiences and more are still available to read in my Blog Archive.
